2024 Barrel Buddies Ground Rules and Clarification:

Membership Application

All Jackpots count for Barrel Buddies year-end awards. There is no membership required however you must run in at least 4 jackpots to be eligible for year-end awards. The finals October race does not count for points. It does count for races ran!!

 

Entries, draws and results through SaddleBook.
You are encouraged to pre- enter the night before each race before 7:00 pm to be in the draw. Text Terry to turn out 801-599-2707. There will no refunds given once the race has started (you may still run if you pre enter and arrive late, you must pay before you run!) If you pre enter and are not there when you draw up you will automatically move to the end of the race.

If the timer fails you have the option of an entry fee refund or re-run at the end of the race! (Any penalty’s will carry over)

 

Time Only Barrels will be before the Jackpot - limited to 75 and are sold through SaddleBook.  $4.00 each

 

Time only entries will be taken online and limited to 70.

Race Starts at 7:00 pm:

• Youth 3D $25, 16 years & under. 1-D Fastest time, 2-D fastest time plus 1 second, 3-D fastest time plus 2 seconds. If there are less than 5 entries, the class will be a 2-D.

• 4D Barrels $35 1-D Fastest Time, 2-D Fastest Time Plus ½ second, 3-D Fastest time Plus 1 second, 4-D Fastest Time plus 2 seconds. 5D if over 100 entries and will be ½ second split.

 

KNOCKING OVER A BARREL WILL RESULT IN A NO TIME AND NO POINTS.

Points for Open & Youth Barrels through 6th place in each division:

1st Place 6 Points
2nd Place 5 Points
3rd Place 4 Points
4th Place 3 Points
5th Place 2 Points
6th Place 1 Points

 

SADDLE WILL BE GIVEN AWAY BY DRAWING ALONG WITH AWARDS at OCT RACE, MUST BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE ANY AWARD!!

For every race you enter you get a chance in the saddle drawing and for every check you receive you get another chance. You must enter the open to qualify for the saddle. You must run in 4 of 8 races to qualify!!!

Series awards and saddle drawing will be given at the October finals jackpot. You must be present to receive your award. A horse and rider may accumulate points in any division However, only the division where the most points are earned will be the final standing for the year. A horse and rider team will only be eligible for one award per event. In the event of a tie for point’s – money won will be counted and determine the winner. In order to qualify for year-end awards - horse and rider team must compete in at least 4 of 8 jackpots scheduled for the year!
